Leaf [a2] mutilated (painted initial with pen-flourishing torn out). Binding: Bound uniformly in sixteenth-century blind-tooled parchment over wooden boards, with two metal clasps on each volume. Stamped floral centre-piece on all covers. Size: 270 × 200 × 75 and 270 × 200 × 77 mm. Size of leaf: 256 × 179–183 mm. Bibliographical note by W. A. Copinger on front endleaf. Principal initials are supplied in blue and gold with reserved white decoration and pen-flourishing in red; other initials and paragraph marks are supplied in red or blue; red capital strokes and underlining.
