Size: 237 × 173 × 32 mm. Size of leaf: 227 × 165 mm. Early marginal notes, some in Greek, in various hands. On n9v and n10r/v references to various passages in the Epistolae added in a seventeenth-century(?) hand. On a2v a four-line (French?) ‘F' and, on a3r a seven-line (French?) ‘S' are supplied in gold with red and blue infill within a red and blue frame, highlighting in white; the same style as in item 1. Other initials are supplied in red or blue. Provenance: John Estmond (fifteenthth/sixteenth century); ‘Joannis Estmondi'; inscription on a1r of item 1, followed by a note in Greek:‘ ἡμω̂ν τὸ πολίτευμα ἐν οὐρανοι̂ς ὑπάρχει ’. Richard Farmer (1735-1797); inscription on front pastedown; not found in his sale catalogue. Francis Douce (1757-1834); armorial book-plate. Bequeathed in 1834. SHELFMARK: Douce 138(2).
